Monoclonal antibody to a-actinin is derived from the hybridoma produced by fusion between myeloma cells and Balb/c spleen cells. Purified a-actinin from chicken gizzard was used as an immunogen.

Specificity
The antibody is specific to the 100 kD a-actinin polypeptide and reacts with human and chicken cells.

Applications
Immunohistochemical stainings, western botting and other immunoassays for cellular and tumor biology.

Guidelines for dilutions
Working dilution in western blotting is at least 1:1000.
